When did Boise get a music scene?

My wife and I had just pulled back into town, and were driving around like crazy to any and every home improvement store in the valley as we got our new house ready for move in. Scanning through the radio stations, we stumbled across 93.5 FM- Radio Boise. New and interesting sounds spewed forth from our speakers and with great delight we exclaimed- “How did Boise get a cool radio station?” It was a far cry from the three top 40 stations, million country stations, and one “River” station we left behind when we moved. Pair that with the Treefort Music Festival that we had just missed, and it looks like Boise Music is starting to show some diversity and, dare I say, interesting developments. Looking forward to seeing this further blossom as spring is under way.
